Large PE at night and nothing during the day

I have a piece that doesn't have PE during the day but does have serious PE at night. Other sps have normal PE during day and night.
My lights are Radion gen 3 PRO at about 50% and is fairly high above the tank about 36 inches

Is this normal and coral is just get acclimated or should I move it to a diff place ?

Could it e a flow issue for that coral? I had a coral that did this and moved it into stronger flow and it then had PE during the day

It's possible but I have a lot of flow w 2 mp60 and 4 seaswirls running a 2700 return. Tank is a 300g with flow being constant (I don't lower it during the night )

Nope no fish no crabs. I have tangs and one flame angel which doesn't touch corals. I watch them all entirely too much for my wife's liking so I would see

I've had problems with flame angels....they're very sneaky......certain types of sps are irresistible ...they get hypnotized by good polyp extension on some corals....they can nip once quickly and the coral will retract the polyps all day long (from one quick nip)

unless you watch that angel all day without blinking, you may miss it...

I had a flame in my frag tank and I didn't have any PE. I never once saw him nipping at anything, but as soon as I removed it, the PE came back.

+10 on the angel.

Or if you have a blenny or goby that can sometimes irratate it.
I have 2 tailspots blennies in my tank(1 at each end). My red planet is being eaten alive, and I know it's not AEFW. It's the blenny. I never see him do it, ever! But he moved in very close proximity to it and ever since he did the RP has had chunks being bitten off it almost like its being edge similar to a receding hairline. There are same sized mouth bites in a few other areas of the RP. The underside of the coral is completely fine. It's just the top section where the blenny can access
