Hello everyone! Just tossing up a stock list for a tank project I'm working on for a local community center.

The tank is 8 feet long, 2 feet wide and 2 feet tall. Below are the fish desired for the tank but, I'd like suggestions or comments especially regarding stocking.

1 lemonpeel angelfish
1 ebili angelfish
1 midnight angelfish
1 coral beauty angelfish
1 rusty angelfish
5 bimac/lyretail anthias
1 royal gramma
1 chalk bass
1 spotband butterflyfish
1 saddleback butterflyfish
1 pakistan butterflyfish
1 blackback butterflyfish
1 semion butterflyfish
10 green chromis
2 clownfish
1 fuzzy dwarf lionfish
1 yellow tang
1 caribbean blue tang
1 sailfin tang
5 red velvet fairy wrasses

You want all those fish in there? Or are those what you're considering and will narrow down?

Where are the large Angels? You have a lot of dwarfs, but maybe have a queen or an emperor for the king of the tank?

These are only considerations! That's a lot of fish for a tank lol. We want to try some large angels but, we're not sure how they will work out in a tank that will be mostly live rock with no corals or sponges or macroalgae.

They should be fine... Lots of people keep them in FOWLR's. I'd be more worried about the centropyge sp.

You can add more fish. Especially since it's a fowlr.

Also, no triggers? What gives?

Wont triggers gobble up the basslets? Also, I'm concerned about them nipping on the lion as well.

A blue throat or a cross hatch trigger wouldn't.

Not too sure about the lions though, although, I feel like most everyone who has owned a trigger will take one over a lion ;)

I would put in a group of chalk bass rather than just one. I have 9 and at times they school together and that's pretty cool. Most of the time, they're spread out throughout the tank
You may also consider a pair of flame hawkfish. They're fun to watch in the tank too.

Wow, I figured everyone would tell me I was over doing it O.O!

I'd love to include a large angel, especially one that lives in our region such as the queen or french. I'd like to do 3 royal grammas and 3 chalk basses them if it's also possible.

Maybe instead of the fairy wrasses I could do a harlequin tuskfish?

Get a emperor angel. 5 fairy wrasses would work but i am not sure if 5 harlequin tuskfish would get territorial ...After all they grow 10 inches long

If you're going to have a tusk and triggers and small bodied fish you will be at risk of losing the small fish at some point. The tank isn't anywhere near big enough for a french, imo. If you want something local I would look into a rock beauty, that has the best combination of flash and fit for a 240.

I love Rock Beauties. My favorite fish on dives. And when I mentioned the harlequin tusk I mean only one. I would never but 5 fish that size in any tank :S
