I know there was a thread here on Lasik but the search function doesn't work for me. Could somone reccommend some Drs for me? I finally got the OK from Hubby! I want someone that will do the customized version.

My eye doctor for the last 15 years has been Lisa Wohl in Bloomingdale. Did my Lasik too.

I had mine done at TLC in 2000 as well, at that time Dr. Probst did 25,000 set of eyes, I'd to know how many he has done now. It was the best thing I have every done, I went from 20/200 to 20/15 and no issues what so ever.

Hey folks that had Lasik I have some questions. I'm considering the surgery. When I last investigated it several years ago there were side affects that kept me from doing it. I hear there have been several improvements in the procedure adn considerably better success rates.

Question one: Have patients had difficulty with night vision?

Question two: Any issues with seeing halos around lit objects like street lights, signs, or traffic signals?

Question three: Any other negative issues or new limitations post surgery not mentioned above?

Any help would be very appreciated

Thanks in advance,

Adam

I did A LOT of research before I decided to go with my Dr. His name is Nicolas Caro and he is in Chicago. St. Georges Eye Center. He was the only Dr. in the United States at the time that had a machine to track the Pupil. So if your eye moved then that laser moved with it. It was $4k. He has done a lot celebrities and there families. I would definitely recommend him.

I have noticed no problem with night vision.
If I have halos, then I haven't noticed them either.

I'm a little late with this response, but I got mine done by Dr. Mack. I think he's in Hinsdale. Absolutely awesome doctor. He's not an optometrist, he doesn't do glasses. He's the guy that people go to after someone else messes them up. And he gives you a lifetime warranty. If you ever need an adjustment, and you will, it's free.
