lastlight's 225 reef build

Thanks guys!

Yeah Catherine I'm burning the candle at both forum ends here =) Already your build is making me feel inadequate. Sounds like junior high dating all over again!

Just to confirm, what did you use to join the tiles to the tank stand? The extra weight of the tiles did not have any problems with the doors?

I scored the plywood with a screwdriver. Just basically scratched the crap out of it and drilled a bunch of holes in it as well. Then applied the same cement you use to mount these tiles to walls. I haven't the slightest fear of these letting go the doors are SOLID.

WOW!!! Got your PM about the light actuator and just finished looking through your build thread. I'm sorry I only just now found it... truly spectacular to say the least. Really top notch work and very sexy-sexy!!!

Thanks for the info and really looking forward to seeing your tank up and going!!!

Lost my job. Don't have pics but I think more and more people know what that looks like...gah!

Anyone in need of a web designer/flash programmer HIT ME UP.

I'll name the reef after you one day haha =)

geesh, that blows... things are not exactly booming here... In fact we had to close our calgary office just 2 months ago... I keep hearing how bad oil & gas is getting hit.

Sorry to hear that, best of luck. I'm sure it won't be long before something comes along.

Sorry to hear about losing your job FWIW I really enjoyed your build and can't wait for you to get back to it when $ starts coming in again. The economy is crap everywhere...we nearly went out of business not to long ago.

Sorry to hear this. Wish you can find a better job soon.
Looking in the bright side, now you have more time to spend on your tank. lol.

Sorry to hear about your job, but on the other hand the tank is amazing, one of the cleanest setups i have seen

dude really sorry I know the feeling i lost my job two days after I had my little girl, some how you will be fine my friend I will keep my ears & eys open if i hear if anyone need some web help

Thanks everyone =)

I'm taking a crack at this self-employed thing and so far it's a perfect fit. The fiscal plan is play catch-up, sustain and hopefully get this build wrapped up!

Of course family comes first. We all say it but when you're actually in a position where it really means anything it's a big wake-up call. Best of luck to everyone riding the razor's edge =)
