lavender mushroom recoverable? damaged in shipping

received a package today from Liveaquaria of a lavender mushroom. opening the box i could smell something really foul and the bag contained a brackish brown water. Upon examining the rock, there were 3 heads, two of which looked to be missing at least half of the mushroom. It looks as if the bag had rolled around and the soft tissue broke off of two of them.

Will they recover?

Attached is a pic showing the 1 complete mushroom and 1 of the half mushrooms. The 3rd is on the rear of the rock but is also partially missing.

Mushrooms are pretty hardy... They look like they'll be fine... I've torn a couple shrooms before and they just usually make new shrooms...

Nope... Got home and they had deteriorated even more... Hunks of flesh was breaking off as I watched. . 1 of them looked like he is fighting. I went ahead and took the others out so they'd not pollute the tank like they did the shipping bag.

Yikes! Sorry to hear... I've never had any issues when I've damaged my shrooms... My shrooms are definitely one of my fav things to look at in my tank...

Of my mushrooms the only time I've seen something wrong is when they turn white. I've had them shrink in size and come back. Even the one I had that half of it turned white, it just split the white part off and the rest of it is coming back nicely. Give it some time in your tank to recover. Looks like a good rock for the too. Best of luck.

I recently had a purple mushroom rip in half by accident. I glued the cap to a rock and left the little blob of the stump in the tank. I now have two lavendars both happy. Good luck.
