LED Light suggestions

Getting ready to startup my tank in a new house. The tank dimensions are 60 wide , 34 deep, 24 high. I have 2 existing 18" Acan led lights that I will need to supplement. Have been away from the hobby for a year so I need some suggestions on a decent fixture from someone that is using them to grow spsI think the coverage area on the acans is 2x2 but I am not sure.

Tony I love them if you want to see what they are like I live in Ronkonkoma. Chris Dimaino has 2 of them also. You can pick them up for 130.00 each

ive yet to see an LED fixture that blends the colors/channels as well as the radion. a little pricey but worth it imo.

Matteo, Where did you see those lights for 130? Cheapest I found is 149 shipped on the ocean revive website.
Thanks in advance.
Nick

I just picked up a pair of the T247's for my 120.
I have to say that they have a really nice color and output.
I'm taking my lux meter out to test them later.
I got both light fixtures for $298 shipped.
Not bad.

Coral of Duty
I purchased mine around Black Fri and they were $278.00 for two Arctic-T247 LED Aquarium Lights on e bay which came out to $139.00 each. It might have been a special. I must have hit the 0 instead of the 9 when I posted the price of $130.00.You are right the lowest I found was $145.00 on E Bay and that box looked like it was open. They may have raised the prices.
Suzig is right Radion is a Mercedes compared to the Arctic-T247. But $1,200.00 compared to $278.00 for two lights is a big difference unless you have money to burn. My friend Andy has the Radions and they are unreal they make clouds, have storms lightning and go from sunset to moon. Mine only go on and off with a built in timer with remote control and my corals like them and they pop.Im satisfied but thats up to the individual.

Fragmented,

I was in the same exact boat as you are right now.
I looked at Radions, Kessils, Reefbreeder, Oceanrevive.
There are more, but these were the popular ones.

Radions: wow, talk about impressive lights! Too expensive, but if I had the money to burn, I would definitely buy them. I need two.
Kessils: also a really nice option, but I worried that I would get that spotlight look they seem to give. I figured if I was going to pay $800 for Kessils, why not just buy Radions. Again I need two.
ReefBreeder: a good light with some control options. It turned out that they upgraded their 48" unit, but did not have any in stock. I was told I could have a refurbished version 1 unit for the same price. When I asked them why? They back peddled and said $50 off. Why would I want an old unit (refurbished) for only $50 off? I decided to pass.
Oceanrevive: really the Toyota Corolla of the pack. While they lack a lot of the bells and whistles of the rest, the price can't be beat.
The bottom line is for $148 a piece, they give a ton of light and turn on and off.
You can also program the intensity of two channels.

I chose the Oceanrevive for this reason. It'll get the job done for now. When I am ready I would definitely buy the Radions.
With this setup, I can buy my Radions one at a time so it doesn't hurt so much. $750 a pop, I'm sure I can get them cheaper.

I hope this helped!

Nice write up Bill. Hi Tony. I chose the Kessils Tony. My application is a little bigger than yours. I am keeping the VHO for now to supplement the LED.

I have a Kessil a360we on my frag tank, but still use MH on my main tank. One kessil covers my 2x2 frag tank without issues, I was worried that it would create a spotlight effect but it doesn't. I looked at Radions and they were just too expensive, the kessil does everything I need it to do and was much less expensive then the Radion. I'm in Port Jeff if you want to see what they look like.

I like the Kessils too.
If you wanted something middle of the road, yet with still a ton of controllability, Kessils woikd do the trick.

Fishome, love the acans but the 18" models I have won't cover the new tank, so I need another unit or two and those units are in the kessil / radion price range
