LEDs for SPS?

Has anyone had any luck growing SPS with their LED light? I've had a tank up and running now for a year, i've been really good with my water quality keeping what people like to call "clean water" i've had really good growth with my LPS and softies with my Current USA Orbit Marine light. I will be getting a bigger tank this summer and was thing about just buying another one and hang mounting it. Anyone have luck with these lights or other mid range lights and SPS?

IMHO, LED's are a great way to grow a wide variety of corals.

Here's a couple pictures of mine in my 120DT:

I use 2 x AI Sol Blues, ~14" above water, set to 45W/65B/65RB, 12 on/12 off with a very short ramp up and a 30 minute ramp down.

I use a single Kessil A360W on my "grow out" tank (another 120, lit on one side only and if anything, corals grow almost too well.

I'm currently in the process of changing over to an actual frag tank (4x2x12", 60g) and picked up a 2nd Kessil so I can light the whole thing. Remember that as the corals get bigger, they will grow quicker - the more individual coral animals there are, the more exponential the growth.

Sps can be kept under Led's no problem. I personally prefer T5s for sps, but that's a different topic.

With that said the led you have doesn't put off enough to light for sps. If you want to stick with Led's I would suggest investing in a better fixture.

BryanS4 is right. the good led fixtures do just fine for sps corals. And your Current Orbit fixture is OK for most corals (maybe even sps) in a shallow tank (12" OK, 18" very iffy, 24" not a chance). If you are going bigger, invest in some better fixtures.

Ran my tank under a pair of reefbreeders photon fixtures for 18 months and got good SPS growth. I've since supplemented with a bunch of the kessil spots. Tank looks better, but growth is no better.
