I am looking at getting a 240g+ tank and would like to keep at least a few large fish, such as tangs or angels (1 ft or so long?).

Would 96 L x 30 W x 25 H or 72 L x 24 W x 25 H be better for large fish?

96x30x25- fish would love the length and width. If you are going custom, try to get a little taller like 30". I have a unicorn tang 10" that likes to lay on the glass vertical instead of horizontal.(Hope that makes sense) He will reach 2 ft easy. I am in the planning stages of a 800 and it becomes very difficult when I have to design around different habits of werid acting fish.

well, its either 96x24, or 72x30.

wish i could have the length and the extra width, but maybe on the next setup....

I have a 240 gal RR tank (with 3 tangs, 2 Fox Faced Rabbits, Coral Beauty/Blue Spotted Nasa/etc) and they LOVE the 96''x24.6''x21.6'' tank. My tangs love the freedom!
