Let see some really big CLAMS!!!!!

can't say, i'm not and haven't been testing the water for them. i don't have a algae problem. i usually dose 1/2gallon kalk/100gallon aquarium on a daily basis.
i'm concerned about the possibility of the thing deciding to spawn and wiping out the whole tank. as much as i'd like to hold on to it as long as poss. for bragging rights, at some point i'll prob sell it to someone with a greater volume of water rather than risking my other animals.

My tank is SPS and clams. The Gigas uses a lot of Calcium. I have a large gio calcium reactor and the calcium stayed at 380. I boost it up on top of that with b-ionic. The calcium reactor can only maintain but won't increase the levels of calcium, I can tell the Gigas is using a lot of calcium because it is growing very fast and has added a large amount of new shell. The leading edge of the new shell is razor sharp btw. I had it out again the other day for inspection. I broke 2 sps corals trying to get it out. Well thats one way to frag lol. My clam is very heavy, I can tell it has gained weight lol. Take care, Mike

No photos right now. I don't have any huge clams at the moment. However I do have quite a few.

I've noticed consistently that I'm always bumping my dKH, my clams take in a lot of alkalinity.

Here's mine.....I sold him about 3 years ago to a local guy, and just got him back the other day.....wooo hoo. He is about 14" by 9" when opened up.
Here it is in a 5 gal bucket bringing him home.
