Here's one of the things I won last night in the raffle.
They called it a Super Girl?

Let see what you came home with!!

I was one of the few lucky ones whose ticket never got drawn... again :(

Anyway, I got some frozen fish food in the free for all at the end and I bought myself something nice to help me feel better. ;)

hahah Sorry Pete...
Here's a pic of the other unknown coral I won.

It looks less brown in the tank than the pics show..

Hmmm.. the polyps look kind of like turbinaria polyps, but I've never seen one in that structure.

I love that encrusting monti you got Steve!

It's okay, I bought myself an early Christmas last night.

I was joking all the while about how I was NOT being drawn, darnit, but even so, I walked away with a Tropic Marin Calcium supplement and bag of GFO (phosban).

Considering that the raffle was free to paid members and if you hadn't been drawn by round 20 or so it was a free-for-all,

THANK YOU.

Who could complain? The winnings for most of us more than offset the cost of joining...

And thanks for the pizza and drinks too.

Thank you again. If you paid your membership you'll be happy to get in on the frag swap in Feb '08!!!

I didn't recognize the grand prize winner, but since you paid up: Congrats! That was a sweet rig!

If the rest of you haven't yet paid your membership dues: Why not? Just look at this party: More than worth the dues by itself.

Sad to say that the female Blue Jaw Trigger didn't make it home, it was DOA. Guess the water just got too cold. I tried to keep them warm in my car on the way home, (heater set to 78 and heated seats turned on) but she was kind of lying on her side in the bag while still at the party. It was probably just a combination of the stress and drop in temperature. Very sad. The male, however, is doing very well. He's absolutely beautiful and even ate some mysis today. He's very healthy looking and his colors are stunning...just hope he doesn't miss his girlfriend too much. Poor thing, I guess I should have come a bit more prepared and brought a couple heat packs with me...

The zoas that I picked up ended up being a nice mixture of Ring of Fires and Whammin' Watermelons. Very nice combination of colors, and a huge polyp count. Very impressive frag...I couldn't tell what they'd look like when I picked them, but I'm really glad I grabbed them. VERY NICE!

pics to come...

Don't beatnyourself up Jon, the female looked stressed out for a few days. Triggers are very hardy and she should have been fine. It was not the packing but instead just her overall health. I will replace her for you free of charge ASAP! Sorry you had to deal with that :( Glad the zoo's worked out for you though.
