A quick tank intro. The aquarium is an acrylic 45 gallon, 36"x15"x20" that I bought several years ago used. It is plumbed to a 29 gallon aquarium with about 20 gallons in it. It holds all of my equipement, except circulation pumps, Seio 820's. For lighting, I have a dual 250w with 14k Pheonix(6 hours), 9 blue led and 9 white led(3 hours in am, and 3 hours in pm). I have an extra urchin that will be my skimmer until I decide on what I want to sink my money into.
The plan is to use all diy rock, although there is about 2 lb. of wild in there right now. Numerous cultures where added from sumps, overflows, coralline scrapings, etc. A week ago, coralline spots started to appear on the diy rock, so the first frags where added, a marshall island birdsnest and an ORA green and yellow Pocillopora. One week later, today, everything appears stable via water tests and observation, so I started adding some more corals.
Added today from my other tanks, blue polyp Capricornis, Tricolor valida, GARF bonsai, light blue tenius, ORA Frogskin, Purple Rim Capricornis, ORA Pearlberry, ReefFarmers Super Blue tenuis, ORA Red Planet, Canary Yellow Caroliniana, and a Sky Blue Thin Staghorn.
Now due to bad quarantine procedures(already fixed), my tanks have redbugs and some are starting to look bad(tricolor valida and Garf Bonsai are the worst) so all acros will be put in my tank to treat with interceptor(just got it) and the other tanks will be without for a week or two.
So a couple issues to work out, but I'm so excited!!!
