Lethargic sailfin tang

Hi all,

So I've had a sailfin tang for about two months now. He's been fine since being out in the tank and swam around constantly in search of food. Up until last night that is when I found him lethargic and sitting in the bottom corner of my tank. He is doing the same thing today and I love him and don't want anything to happen to him. He's probably about 2-3 inches in length in a 180 gallon tank so swimming room is not an issue. The tank presenters all test normal with about a 30 gallon water change done the past two weeks. Prior to these changes there was a large amount of algae on the glass. During these water changes I scraped the algae out carefully as to not have it go into the water column. This occurred three days ago. What would be causing him to be lethargic? Before I had to leave home for the day he was on the bottom lazily trying to pick algae off a rock. What could be causing this?
