Lets do this - 225+ reef bar

Mike is arriving today, he had a brief lay over in Japan for the sole purpose of making me more envious of his trip ;) The tank is doing well though.

I'm back safely, thanks much to all who voiced concern. I'll slowly recount all the stories and get my pics edited and uploaded. Here are a few that didn't need much editing for the time-being:

Hows everything in the tank doing Mike? Any ill effects after the vacation? I finally got some decent SPS for my 112g ;)

Thanks all.

Jflip - I think the tank may actually be doing better than when I left. Big thanks to Eric (glassbox-design) and Brandon (ataylo13) for looking after it for me while I was away.

skey - I used a Canon G9, Ikelite housing, Ikelite DS51 strobe, and an Inon UWL-100 wide angle lens. Based on my research this really seems like the best bang for your buck for an underwater setup. G9s are going cheap now too since the G10 has been introduced. Unfortunately, the upgrade from 35mm to 28mm from the G9 to the G10 seems to have made wide angle lens use a problem (at least Ikelite has not yet come up with a solution). So until they come up with a solution the G9 is the way to go for UW photos.

cool. I saw some good reviews for that one. I was thinking about nikon, but your pics are fabulous so that will make me reconsider. I am a ways off from purchase so it is research time.

Pat - Yup, i've got the RKE. I like it well enough, but they need to hurry up and release the internet module, then I'll be able to give a better review.

I've got a long overdue update on the tank. The new skimmer, an ATB L, came in yesterday. It looks to be a beast. Hopefully I'll have it up before Christmas.

Also got a chance to raise the light and get out the underwater housing to snap a few pics:
