Let's See Some T5 Only Lite Tanks (remember Just T5 Lite Tanks) :-)

gabe3d: very nice

How big is the tank and what is your lighting setup.

Very nice spacing of rock also.

Im thinking of running a 6x39w T5 Tek light system on my future 65g reef (36"L x 18"W x 24"D).

I will be doing starboard barebottom.

Any chance I can keep SPS and clams under this or will I need to supplement with MH or something else?

Also, what bulb combo should I go with?

Thanks for the help. These T5 pics have been inspiring.

I wouldn't keep high light clams on the bottom. Not sure you would want to with a bare bottom anyway. I keep a crocea on the bottom but I have a few inches of sand, I run 80 watt lamps which are a very little bit more intense, 1.3 watts per inch vs. 1.1 for the 48's, and I am overdriving the lamps.

That should be fine, croceas generally prefer that but mine kept knocking itself off. Seems to be happier on the bottom. I would keep like a Maxima within 16" of the surface.

gabe3d,

Your tank looks great. Unbelievable color. Sorry if I missed it, but what are the deminsions of your tank?

Thanks. Tank Dimensions are 60 x 20 x 24.

nuhtty, i have seen croceas (2 of them) at a local pet store that are thriving on the bottom of a 20" or so tall tank under PC lighting, and i think the canopy is a 4x65watt setup, they have been doing greta for at least 6 months...so keep that in mind...

My crocea clams use to be on the sandbed for a year before i moved them up on the LR. They were doing fine in my opinion.

gabe3d, you have a fantastic looking tank. Great color! I'm looking for a tank with similar dimensions to yours, specifically one 60" long. Is that a custom tank? Glass or acrylic?

Thanks! Jim
