I had 250 Watt MH, and poor growth. (and 2x T5)

I've changed to 120 watt (pacific sun) and nothing else. And since i have well i've gone from 90% light to 100% and now running on 85% since all my LPS, and some SPS had a lightshock. Even those on the bottom.

New Acro's on the bottom are currently turning brownish, so i need to raise them. (bought green, and blue tip).

My pink monti went from pink to brown back to pink under led. So i'm happy.

Before i got led i barely noticed any mineral uptake my weekly refresh couldn't handle now my CA is barely above 400 (had to start dosing after i got LED).

Even the algea problem is almost completely gone. It seems that the growth of the corals also has some influence on the nutrients available for the corals.

Here is my lighshocked favia:

What PAR are you getting throughout the depth of your tank that turned your favia so pale?

I don't know the par ratings. Maybe somebody has par ratings of the pacific sun led.

My settings are 15000k. And the lamps are approx 20 cm (8 inch or so) above the water. The favia was on the side of the cone but (too) high, its on the bottom now and (slowly) recovering (bottom is 58 cm below the water surface).

On that hight also my scolly suffered some ligthshock. (alrough just slightly).

Now it is on 85% and one acro with light lightshock is turning brownish, so he could use more light now.

A few top down shots I took a couple of weeks back. Didn't use any special underwater camera or box just turned all the pumps off and took the photos from the "top down" ;)

Enjoy....

Dangerrrr, you dont need an underwater camera. Your shots look just as good without it. Your corals look amazing. Good stuff.

Thanks guys, Im using an Ecolamps KR-92 48S or for you Americans, an Acan-Lighting A102AC.

The tank is almost a year old and I have been using these LEDs since setting up.

dangerrrr, looks good, have you measured the PAR coming from your unit for reference purposes? How far do you have the unit off the water surface of your tank?
