i know i posted my tank in several led threads but this is a nice thread and in want to be part of it , here i go again, 18G with 24x Cree @700mA , added 2x24W T5 ati 6 month ago for more color and deleting shadows...

i had problems with pale corals, i thought this would be the lack of some spectrals missing in LED so i added T5, but things didnt improve, now i feed my corals and my fish exzessive and things getting better! get your corals belly round

Again its very hard to draw conclusions since my tank has been under LEDS for a week only and I still son't have a color combo I like.

Will the acros loose color must likely since its a big change, will they get it back its only a matter of time, patience and some good husbandry.

Any update? Would love to see some 4-month pics as I am very close to pulling the trigger on some LED fixtures!

well.... that's from the manufacturer. It doesn't count. It's not that i don't trust them... it's.... who am i kidding, ya, it's because i don't trust them.

FWIW I have no financial ties to them whatsoever, but have been able to stand in front of that tank many many times, and the 3 other tanks under leds, and they all have great colors.

Wow,you all need to pay more attention! Havent you heard, LED cannot get good color and growth, pay more attention and stop posting all your pics!

Thanks! I run 6 ai sol whites over my tank. I only have them about 6 1/2" above the waters surface.

Here are mine. I have two T5s too that I run for a few hours a day but they arent on for these pics.

I was recently trying to reset one of my top rocks and had a catastrophic rock crash. Everything collapsed into the middle and broke most of my sps, but heres whats left.

I've been using LED since Nov 2009 on my nano, then when I build this new tank in Nov 2010 I also re-used my old LED fixture and added a second one.
