Lets see those angelfish pics!!!!!!

Yes, I still have the Majestic and juv Blueface Angel. Could very well be all males but will specifically request for females from LA next time I order but this have to wait till after the big move.

I guess it's been about a month now.....

Dan those are some sweet angels!!! Looks like they mite be a pair.

flameangel88: Im not sure LA would know how to tell them apart. On there page is says, "It is hermaphroditic, very difficult to breed in an aquarium, and has no distinguishable differences in color between male to female. " If you can have them find females, let me know!! Hell, if they could just promise to send you one under one inch it would almost 100% be female. Good luck,

Michael

I'm willing to buy a pair and have seen online stores selling them every now and then. The 3 FAs been together since last Nov and been pretty good together but they still do a quick dash once in a while. The 3 Multicolor Angels does that more often but only had them around 2 months.

I have clams, SPS, LPS, and softies in my tank with an Asfur and he doesn't touch them but he does like to pick at anemones like my Carpet, go figure.

I am thinking about getting either a Majestic, Blueface or a Regal. I have a juvi Emperor that picks occasionally at my 15"derasa and 6" maxima but doesn't appear to be doing any damage. Of the three mentioned which is the least destructive?

I would say majestic, regal, then blueface. My majestic would eat these tiny xenia type corals in my tank, and would pull a zoo or two off sometimes but never ate them for some reason... Im not sure I want another large angel in a reef though. There is always this little worry in the back of your head that they will turn "evil" one day and eat all kinds of stuff.

my emporer is a really good boy so far (1 month) - he really only eats what he is given - he doesn't even grave or pick at rocks.

My new blue face on the other hand might develop a problem..... he grazes like mad of the rocks, eats everything I put in, and I have caught him eye'ing up my sps frags.

cheers

Matt

These guys are still extremely shy, so smiling for the camera is not an option.

Well guys im getting back into the angel club later this week or next. I just bought a 3" male flame angel, and a 2" bi-color angel. They are gonna hold the fish for a few days in QT to make sure they check out. Ill try to get some pics up ASAP.

Michael

Gary Emporer, they were both wild caught at a 6"+ size.

I still have the Emperor, now with a 4" queen, the large queen got slightly obnoxious, so I sent her to a 600 gal reef in the area.

:D
Poor her.

The sponges are, in my opinion, a great supplement to the normal frozen diet........

the only things obvious to me in this picture is the fact that this Emperor is an adult from the Pacific (note the "streamer" off it's dorsal fin) and it's getting fed a sponge. I agree that both of these Angels are very nice looking specimens. Were they raised in aquaria or collected as adults?

virginiabreeze6: your tank is breath taking!!!!! Your fish look super healthy, and I love how long the emperors streamer is getting!!! And I agree that sponge is a large part of keeping large angels and moorish idols alive and happy. I wish you the best of luck, and keep us up to date every now and then!!
