Lets see those ATI bulb combos

Ive been looking to replace my 6 T5HO bulbs that came with my aquatic life fixture and settled upon ATI's bulbs. I was thinking 1 purple plus, 1 coral plus, 2 blue plus, 1 aquablue special, and 1 true actinic. Does anyone have this combo or had this combo that could provide some insight on how it might look. I would love to see all your guys T5 combos to help make up my mind, Thanks!

For 6 bulb combo I run 4 blue plus 1 purple plus 1 coral plus. A couple links for you.

The Ati 6 bulb fixture i have has 2 bulbs on a separate channel which come on first then the other 4 come on an hour later,,,all 6 bulbs run for 7.5 hours then all 6 shut off at once

3 ATI Blue Plus
1 ATI Coral Plus
1 ATI Actinic Plus
1 ATI Purple Plus

This morning I replaced 2 Blue Plus' with Euroquatics' new E5 LED Retrofit in Blue Pop, they look great

That looks very nice! I wish I could just test all the possible combos and send the bulbs I don't need back

It may be worth it to buy at a local store. That way you can try out bulbs combos and return what you don't use. I know the store I got my old bulbs from you could return them within 24-48 hours

I have three fish stores around me and none of them carry ATI bulbs. They seem to carry every other brand though.

I have looked at those multiple times and still am not sure on what I want to do. I think I am just gonna go with 1 coral plus, 1 purple plus, 1 actinic, 2 blue plus, and 1 aqua blue special

Very nice! I think I want a little more of a pinkish color that's why I would only do 2 blue plus.

After reading around on different threads it seems that the aquablue special bulb washes out corals colors and generally makes the tank look too white. Anyone have an aquablue special or had one that has an opinion on it?

Its not good unless you offset it with several other colors. In ATI's lineup a coral+ is a much better option for a white lamp.

My camera is not to good at filtering out all the blue so it doesn't look as blue in person. best bet is to buy an extra bulb and try them till you find what you like.

Damn you did a fine job aquascaping! Very open with lots of overhangs
