not a great shot, but middle of the pic... its not quite that blue in person... camera made it a little more blue covered than it really is.

How long did it take most of your guys slimers to grow that big? I've had mine for about 2 months, and it just started to grow some from the tips, only about 2 cm's right now.

Mine was the first pic on the post. Got it 5 months ago and now is a nice sized small colony. Have it up high about 10 inches under a 400W 10K Reeflux and strong flow.

Am looking for more growth rate photo's of your slimers. From frag to present. Just purchased a frag about an inch high, am wondering how fast it will grow.

I had a friend who slimer went from a 1.5 inch frag to a 6 inch colony in about 6 months. Funny thing is that his tank isn't great with sps and other sps were slow growing. But for me I had good growth with other sps but my slimer went from a 1.5 inch stick to a 3 inch stick no branch in the same 6 month. It has now started to branch and growing much faster.


btw I just got a frag of blue slimmer is the growth rate of the blue about the same as the green?

I'd be interested also. I too just got a blue tipped frag the other day.

From what I've seen, they grow about the same rate. Maybe a little slower for the blue tip.

Earlier in the thread I posted a actinic picture of my colonly. It's 1.5 years old from a 3" frag, minus about two dozen 2-3 inch frags that I've cut off during this time period.
