The fuge isnt cloudy.. i am using a rubbermaid container that is made out of cloudy/clear plastic. I could not find any that were truely clear

Wow, I didn't realize how old that pic was. That is a hippo, but she has since been moved to my 120, now there is a baby powder in her place. sorry for the confusion.

As for the soft start, well, I'm a Aeronautical Engineering student, and for one of my elcectricity classes we actually had to build a project, and I built the wavemaker. I'll try to get pictures of it, but basically all you're gonna see is the box and a whole bunch of elcectrical componets. But yeah, it works great. Maybe one of these days I'll actually sit down and draw a diagram for it.

Off topic, but where do you go to school. That pretty cool that you can create something very useful to yourself and still get a good grade for it=-)

I go to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. That is such an awesome class, I've learned so much.... and my reef has many new electronic gizmos.

I will see if I still have that diagram laying around, since it was for class I'm sure I do. I'd be more than happy to help you if you want to build one.

Alright guys, it's a little off topic, but what the heck. I have an extra 70w Double Ended 10,000k German bulb for sale. When I bought this bulb I ordered a 20,000k and they sent me a 10,000K bulb in a 20,000k box. Since they refuse to let me return it because I fired it once to make sure it worked, I am going to sell it on here for super cheap. My girlfriend says I need to get rid of some of my "fish stuff" because we are "running out of room" ( funny how she asks me get rid of my fish stuff... but she keeps buying more of her stuff....)

I paid $70 for this without shipping

I want this bulb GONE! $50 shipped anywhere in the lower 48.

first of all, really nice tank. Got a question though...
Why re you using an elbow connected to the strainer, when you can either regulate the pass of water via external durso or even a ball valve? How many Gph you got in your tank?

I wanted to re-post, since my tank has changed a lot since I posted. I upgraded from a 14g to a 30g, bought a lot more rock, added more fish and corals... so it's basically a whole new tank
