mntl, that's exactly the way I like to see things proceed, slowly. I'm guessing you are doing it this way because it's the right way to let the tank mature. Good job, and looks real nice.

The rock is all a transfer from my 10gal, I have had it about 2years. But you are right, I wont be adding the acros for awhile, the things that are in there are from the old tank, In March is our first local swap, I will probably wait until then to begin stocking. Thanks for the reply!!

Starkii (stark's) damsels are great nano fish, low bioload, hard to kill, eats anything, pretty, wont nip, wont jump, they think they are 500lb gorillas so they dont run from the camera and come to the glass when people are around :)

Looks like this thread has come a long ways since the last time I logged on, im hoping that people are becoming inspired to start a nano and that people are learning from the posts of other members on this thread.

Have fun =-)

Is that a white/red brain just up/right from the center? I really like it. Also, what kind of clown is that? He/she's a bit different from most. Really nice... for a <2 month old tank? it looks great.

Nice tank Brook, at first i must admit i thought about going right by it, but a lot of that algae is macro, and u have a few nice pieces of coral in there. Nice job.

Goodluck with the bubble algae.

Yeah...the algae has been a battle. I'm getting a grip on the hair algae. I don't even know where to begin with the bubble algae. Everything grows...

Here is a simi side view mainly to see the orange cap :)

This tank will have nothing more than it already has either . Beside the xenia , there are a few mushrooms up top with the cap , 2 colors of gsp with both rocks fully covered with 2 years growth , devils hand top center grown from small 1/4 inch fragment of my mother coral in my 90 display 2 years old , 6 huge fuzzy green mushrooms , some red palythoas and brown mushrooms . Live stock is 6 astrea snails , 2 TR redi seahorse and 1 hawiian hermit 3 years old.
