My 24 gal nano

My 24 gal nano

This will be an SPS tank, I tried to give alot of mounting surface while leaving the back open for flow. The current PH's are temp. Im going to be putting in 2 Tunze Nanostreams and moving the other PH behing the rock work.

Well, here is a "different" nano. It is my "Scorpion" Nano and is about 4 months old.

Occupants are:

1.) Yellow Leaffish
2.) Ambon Scorpionfish
3.) Longspine Waspfish

The obligate FTS.

Some more:

The two buddies hanging out near the flower anemone which they crawl all over with no harm.

The Ambon loves to hang out at the bottom of the Xenia (free frag from an Austin Reef Club member).

Awesome zoo's from Extreme Corals at MACNA 2006 (don't worry, got rid of the zoo white stuff quickly and with little loss.

Green Nephthea whose real color doesn't show up well in photo.

The coral skeleton the Montipora rests upon is from a beach at Zanglais Haiti where I picked it up (along with many others and shells).

Another shot of various corals.

Hope that wasn't too many photos. One of my favorites tanks as I just tried to create a rubble tank where these guys would hide out. Will post some more tomorrow.

:p Wow, mine's only a new tank. Nowhere NEAR as nice as yours are! Still looks okay though, despite the cyano that's taken over atm.

First my base rock, the stuff that I'm seeding.

A FTS once I had it set up with LR and had my lights. Also after I took out the silica and put argonite in instead. Also, since then the 2 extra power filters have been removed. Am thinking about getting another piece of rock to sit on the short chunk on the bottom left(it's closer to the back of the tank than the powerhead is) for some more depth... Or I could find a taller piece of it and put it behind it(so I wouldn't crush/smother my worms that are on that rock :( ) and pull the other piece forward a bit. Dunno yet...

The powerhead has been turned into the tank so it can flow heavilly on the anthelia that I was given.

Some great looking tanks in this thread. Mine doesn't have anything in it yet and I'm still waiting to receive my Ecotech Vortech powerheads (I'll be removing the filter-powerheads once the Vortech arrives) and my T5 lights before I add any livestock.

Its been cycling for about 2 months now and the live rock has colored up a lot more since this picture. I'm currently using about 40-45 pounds of rock. This tank will be mostly SPS.

Here's my new 10gal, it needs some subtle changes and of course maturity of the livestock within.
