yellow torch with blue light = green

but with some imagination, it does look yellow.

I am sure it's yellow if there weren't so much blue in the pic.

I dont think ANY coral is 'rare'. There's just too much ocean out there. The torch corals in question are just the normal ones coming out of australia now. It seems quite a few people are getting them, so I wouldn't even venture to call them 'unusual'.

I agree. IMO "rare" seems like an excuse to inflate the price of animals in this hobby.

I am also apparently color blind. OP's coral doesn't look orange yet to me. More like a hint of yellow. Maybe it's the lighting.

Regardless of what the coloration is ..... every computer monitor, cameras, lights have their own custom color calibration applied to each and every different company specs ...... but then the Torches are all Beauties for all to View and Showcase!!

It doesn't really matter how many times you post the picture, it still shows green. I don't doubt that you have an orange coral, but how do you know this guy's isn't orange and show's brown in the photograph.

Hmmm....I don't know about this definition of "orange." The closest thing I've seen to an orange torch in this thread is Scythanith's, and he calls it Gold, which is more accurate.

The rest look plain old greenish brown to me.....

My buddy who has an online business is bringing in a big orange torch for me on his first incoming Aussie shipment.

The OP's pic is just from a crappy camera. I don't doubt that it isn't orange, they aren't exactly hard to come by.

well i agree that the orange torches appear very yellow/green in the pics. i cant get mine to show orange either. i will be getting actinics soon (i only run halides right now). after that i will get a pic. at the store i got it from, i asked to see it under actinic. it was ORANGE
