lets set up the beach dive.

everyone chime in with the dates (in february) that they can come out on a weekend for a dive. (scuba)

once we get a set date, we'll know when we can goto sport chalet, rent the gear, meet up and have a dive.

will probably goto shaw's cove in the OC, or if anyone else knows a good spot, chime in .

I am OK for Shaws cove maybe divers cove next door or even Woods cove depending on how many people we have and how the vis is. If the vis is good maybe Crystal cove.

if its good vis, shaws cove sucks cause its too crowded.

reef point tends to be less crowded cause its a harder khike down the hill and an entrance fee.

Shaws cove get really crowded on weekends, due to the fact many traing classes happen there. I know this as I use to tech classes there for sport chalet. Besides that parking is really bad ubless you get there real early. I would suggest coves on either side, due to less people.

I dont want to thread jack but I am lookin for a cheap place to get my scuba training done Sports Chalet is asking 200 for the class 100 or so for the ocean dive and around 400 for renals and misc. gear i need to get. Im doin it for a job but the guy dosent want to pay for my training.
And help would be great pm me if possible then maybe I could join you guys on the next dive. Thanx Landini

How about those of us who scuba or freedive try to meet every weekend either Saturday or Sunday at an agreed upon spot and decide if the conditions are good enough for diving. I am available usually every Saturday afternoon/night and all day Sunday. I am for both scuba and freediving I usually use my surface interval after my first dive to go freediving.

I dive mainly in Chrismas Tree in PV (Palos Verdes). This is nice place to dive since you must climb up 20 storie hights after the dive on a cliff. It's hard to do but it's nice to dive this place. There if another place call Flat Rock. This place is really hard to walk down unless you go around far away. I usualy skin here. I've encounter giant black seabass in Christmas Tree two big fish crusing right by me. Also, a lepper sharks about 2foot. I spear fish here catching sheep head, calico bass, opal eyes, girabaldi (j/k) I'm poor diver so i choose to dive off of coast. I'm in for a coaster dive. I've my buddies that had teached and diving with us. If you want to learn maybe we can teach you how. We also have few extra gears to use as well. We hunt for a bugs at night dive.

I get sea sick after about 2hours floting on water. This is main reason i try to stay away freedive. It's better to hunt for bigger fish with freedive then scuba. I enjoy clam dive in oxnard tho. nice big clams off about 30 to 40 feet away from a shore. Man~~ i can wait till summer comes around.

how bout february 10/11th? i'm working on the 24th... and Chinese new years is on the 18th or so...
