But if I go, I have a minivan and live at brookhurst and katella.

what's the forecast looking like?

I have my divemaster certification and have been certified and diving for almost 20 years. Since this is our first time out together we can pair up newer divers with more experienced divers. The area is open with no overhangs or caves but plenty of kelp and if vis is bad we will not dive this area. This area can change very quickly from 10-15' of vis and within 30 minutes go to 0' vis with overhead surf so we will evaluate the conditions before getting into the water we will already be in the area so it would be a short drive down to one of the more protected areas in Laguna.

1st time in the water in 1.5 years... so i'll need to be paired up with you shaggy-o.

i can also bring my digicam to take pics OUTSIDE of the water, it'd be nice if someone had an underwater cam to take pics of us down below.

this is going to be a good event type thingy.

I have an underwater cam. I'll take plenty of pics to post. We can even take a group picture underwater.

I just have open water certification but have done many dives. I feel pretty comfortable in laguna with and without kelp. I've also done many night dives too.

I have open water certification. I've dove over 150+ shore and boat in 6years. this was my boat http://www.geocities.com/oakphotozone/skipperindex.html
and some bugs we caught off the christmas tree in PV water

I no longer own the boat but i wish i've (too much for maintanance fee) I'm hit with severe cold flue right now feeling week as hell. If i dont recover soon I can't make it then. Hope to see everyone this day or on going dive club we may have.

H22, I can meet up with you name a spot and time to meet

Starbucks sounds good with me...I have a Tundra with a camper shell...so if anyone wants we can throw gear into my truck and lock it.......

I also have a Digi with underwater case so I'll snap some pics...lets meet up around 7AM @ Starbucks????

I am PADI Open Water Diver...I've done a fairly good amount of beach, boat, and night dives also....But it's been about 6 months since my last dive...so I'll be flopping around the water a bit for a few minutes to figure out my boyancy at the beginning.

i went diving two weeks ago in st marreten. it was awesome . i havent dove in ca in like three years. i am going to try and make it out . i have been ceritfied since 1993 .

So Cal Shaggy...Starbucks on Edinger and Brookhurst..It's in the Albertsons/Petco shopping center.

Starbucks is adjacent to Buger King I believe in that area....

Simon, I do not use HP tanks I am content with a plain old aluminum 80 that is what most people including my regular buddy use so I like to be able to match my dive partners volume if I stay shallow like anything less than 20' I can usually manage a 1.5-2.25 hour bottom time. Allen, OK got it Brookhurst and Edinger, I have not been in the water for 1 year myself since I seriously injured my hand but the only problem I can think I might have is with my buoyancy I might need to tweak my weights a bit. I also have room in my Jeep for 3 people and gear. I only plan on doing a 1 tank dive.
