Anybody got an RBTA with white specs they can part with? Socal Tropical Fish has two in their display tank but they're not for sale. Here's pics of a couple variants I had severals years ago as examples. The one in the second pic was an amazing one with a green oral disk, orange tentacles, yellow tips, and white specs all over. If anybody has seen an anemone like that around for sale let me know but I'm not counting on it haha.

The second one is a flame rose. I'm also in the market for another one. But the waiting list is 8+ months.

So if anyone has 2 I'll take one

With all due respect, that one was quite different and better than a flame rose ;). I never saw anything remotely close to it and I never 'named' it. Unfortunately I lost it in a tank crash along with many other beauties including a red haddoni, blue squamosa, black/white maxima, red plate, as well as several other things. Worst day of my life.

I've always been collecting these bubble tips with only the white speckles, they look a lot nicer and tend to stay bubble most of the time. Check with Ali at amazing reefs, he usually has them.

Here is my Rainbow BTA... Not as nice as yours, but its pretty awesome... Pics are taken with Iphone - with dslr, you would be able to see the real beauty...

Those BTA are really expensilve I remember last year some one was selling around 300 to 350 dollars and now the price is low around 250.00 and I think rukis have some for sale at tha price.

Rukis sells some nems like the flame one, but I don't think they have the white spots. There orange, red, and green... pretty sick as well.

He is usually at the so cal trade shows... no longer on RC I think.

I've got 3 of them, I will sell 2. I bought them from 2 different places thinking they were different from the one I already had. (thought one had a green base, and one didn't) Turns out they were the same and depending on how it expands they show or don't show the green base.

I'll snap some pics, but here is one of them acclimating when I first got it.

I will be down in OC (Garden Grove/San Diego @ the end of the month and can bring them down.) Or if any of you head to mammoth for some skiing you can stop by and pick em up on your way out of town. :)

(Edit), and ya they were pricey. They cost me around 250-280+shipping a piece depending on who I got them from. So I'd be looking to get the same. After I bought them I had withdrawals that I spent that much on them, although they are by far the brightest nems I have seen (put my red lta to shame). Then I saw one of those "photoshop" vendors selling them for 700 a pop, so I don't feel so bad anymore.

Supposedly they don't grow big but just instead divide often. I've been target feeding them once a week. So far no splitting only some minor noticeable growth.

Just thought I'd show off this new BTA I just got last week from Tong's. It's a beautiful yellow with orange and green hues to it. I wish I could get better pics like I did with my DSLR above, but I only have a point and shoot for now. The second pic is with a flash.

awesome! Back in the days. Tongs had the nicest BTA in the BTA tank before they installed the second big tank.. I snapped this pic in 04 I tried to buy this anemone and a pizza anemone they had sooo many times, and they would never sell it to me (the pizza was purple center gold rim).. Finally after years of harassing them and trying to pick up on that one guys sister. They said I could buy the pizza, but accidentally killed it when trying to remove it from the rocks :(
