Just checked my Tds and found it at 5ppm and need to replace ASAP..I normal order through brs but need to make more water and about out of my reserve..where can I get them locally and reasonably priced? I know spectrapure has them but don't know how late they are open since I work till 6pm every night

Don't worry about it tonight. RC carries them and it won't hurt anything even for a couple of days.

This is true..just fighting a cyano and some ha so want to make life easier and not have an explosion due to more phosphates..ill swing by Rc tomorrow after work

Probably the best thing I ever did in this hobby was switch to 100% SpectraPure RODI products!! They are a rocks throw from RC, I believe they are open until 4pm Monday - Friday only.

If you get on the email list for Spectrapure they usually have a sale every couple months which lets me pick up my DI filters for about 30% less than retail so I always keep a spare in the cabinet for such emergencies. Currently I only have a DI-MC-10 in spare (the last filter), so RC is probably your best bet, usually have them all in stock. You may want to check AquaTouch for stock as well since they are on your side of town.

I love Spectrapure, except for their shipping. I know that they're far away, and I know they ship slow, so I order extra stuff and make sure I ALWAYS have spares on hand. For you guys, you're right there. It's a no brainer.

Aqua touch had one di resin left so I picked it up for now..waiting for them to get sediment and carbon block..better price than what I called around too also

Love spectrapure products. About to upgrade to their uhe system. Hours are horrible for most of us with day jobs. One of the guys there isn't really good at customer service.

I have thought of up grading from a Max Cap to a UHE.....is there much of a difference? and does it warrant the price difference of 3x higher than a Max Cap

I have them ship it to me even though I am local due to their working hours

My advantages would be...

90gpd to 100pgd
1:3 to 1:1 waste water ratio
Auto membrane flush. Membranes last longer as do the downstream filters.

Not sure where the break-even point would be. I'm certain it would be different for each user.

I have a friend in FL that I pick up filter for and mail to him by media mail so he can save on shipping
