LF Yellow Yang

Got home tonight to find my yellow tang had passed. Water parameters are normal, so unsure why. I am looking for a replacement of my yellow tang, do anyone looking to get rid of their tangs let me know.

Not at all Joe. I'm not as picky with tangs as most but a yellow tang in a 29 gallon tank would explain why it died.

Why would you do that to a tang?It's carelessness of the OP to want another tang after having one die.Stick to small fish or upgrade your tank.my $.02

I agree, a 29gal tank for any tang is tight. That being said, if you have a bigger tank, I just bought a yellow tang from sea schor about 2 weeks ago for about $25 (he had like 6-7 of them). He's eating algae and frozens, getting along great w/ the other inhabitants, and looks real healthy. I'm sure that you can find one at pretty much any LFS though, since they're pretty common.

Thanks everybody for your concerns, but I have had a tangs in smaller tanks 30-60ish gallons for years and never had issues till now. I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER TO POST ABOUT A YELLOW TANG, CAUSE I KNOW HOW SOME FEEL ABOUT TANGS IN SMALLER TANKS....MY APOLOGIES FOR STEPPING ON SOME PEOPLE TOES

After reading everybody concerns and recommendations, I feel guilty enough not to acquire another one until I have a much larger tank down the road. With that said.....what are some recommendations for smaller colorful bright fish (why I like the yellow tang-so bright and vivid in color) for my 30 gallon. Suggestions comments welcome....

It really stinks that tangs need larger tanks.....such beautiful fish. Time to start planning my next tank

Firefish and flamehawk would be my purchases for a 30 gallon. If no sps you can go with a Flame Angel.

Have to take a look those.....yeppers have SPS so flame angel not a good idea
