LFS deal on carpet anenome and 2 percs

In Memoriam
I been thinking of a 10'' carpet anenome with two percs already hosting in it. Fish store wants 80 for all. I heard stories of carpets eating fish. I have a diamond goby that lives on the bottom and a few other fish should I be worried about losing fish?

I had a metallic green carpet for 5 years that only ate a couple of fish...fish are typically smart enough to stay away from it but there is always that risk.

My diamond goby is always around it but knows to keep its distance :)

Thats also a pretty good deal.

Within two weeks my S. Haddoni got my lawnmower blenny and Kole Tang.

I have three other Tangs, Bangii Cardinal, Gramma, and a large engineer goby that are fine with it for almost 2 years now.

I would definitely say they are at higher risk, but it's not a definite. I've had my Hadonni carpet for a few months now, my pink spotted goby and starry blenny both keep their distance.

So far so good, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Been keeping S. haddonis for the last 15+ years -- it might not happen right away, but sand bed dwelling fish will become lunch, along with a lot of your CUC.

If your fish are careless enough to swim into an anemone then they deserve to be food. Its not like the nem is reaching out and grabbing the fish. I lost a handful of fish to my haddoni but I didnt get mad at the nem I got mad at the fish.

I think all fish are careless enough to swim into an anemone. Especially when they're confined to a tiny glass box in someones living room. I'm pretty sure all my fish have bumped into my haddoni at one time or another. Strong swimmers are much more likely to escape. Afterwords, the lesson has been learned. With poor swimming fish, like most bottom dwellers, the odds of surviving that first contact is pretty slim.
