As I write this question i confuse myself more.

Does Mr Bubble Tip A prefer a particular light color?

I currently light him with a 175 10K MH bulb. I was considering a 14K, and started to wonder...? Might he have a preference?

Thank You In Advance.

Corey

If there is sufficient PAR being emitted, then no. IME, anemones have little preference to bulb color, so long as it is sufficiently bright and within the "accepted" range of 6500K-20000K (though the latter is too blue for my tastes--but that is just me).

I had the same question I posted a while back and didn't get an answer buy In my expierence I started off with a 150w phoenix hqi 14k and when I switched to a 10k my RBTA opened alot bigger and seemed happier.

lower temp light typically has more PAR than the same wattage bulb at a higher temp. It is likely that your BTA will get slightly less light in the photosynthetic segment of the spectrum with a 14000K bulb then they are currently getting. However; he will still be getting plenty of light with the 14000K bulbs. If you want to "blue-up" the tank but want the anemone to keep getting the same PAR or better then consider increasing your actinic supplementation.
