Im planing on keeping sps, clams and maybe* a RBTA. I'm thinking on ordering the corallife 150w pendant. i know it will be ok for everything on the top. but it will be good enough to keep clams on the bottom of the tank?. 18" high. with 2" of LS

also can anyone reply on how good are coralife external pump?

I am not too sure if this work.

First, anemones are wanderers. They like to move to find a spot, and the slightest thing can tick them and make them wander. With a 10 gallon and other corals/clams... you are going to have a high chance of the anemone meeting something else.

Not to mention, anemones require prestine water conditons, lighting is a factor, but having good water and feedings are probably most important. 150 watts may even be a bit too much in such a small tank.

Also, growth. Anemones will grow and may even split.

Just some things to think about.

if u know u will have stable water conditions then add the anemone 1st and let it wander for a while until it finds the right spot that it likes
then itll be safer to add corals

but even then theres no telling if it will move again
as for the clam that should be enough lighting

dont even take my advice if u cant even get your params stable
thats the main thing u should worry about 1st

ok here is the setup. the tank will be a 10g hex. but it will have a 30g sump, but the water volume in the sump is about 16g. then there is a 30g fuge, and a 30g LR tank. Why so many tank and just a 10g hex? well. I rather work with lage amount of water than a nano tank. crazy ahh?

Like I say the anemos is a maybe*. if I do deside to go for it. then it will be added befora any coral.

as for the light since it is a pendant I can play with it and it won't be near the water surface, maybe 1.5'-2' over the top.

Filtration:

2 coralife 60g neddle wheel skimmer
48# LR apr.
40# LS

Live stock 10g hex:

Percula clownfish (pair)
Yashia shrimp goby
Randalls Shrimp
Astraea Snails (3)
Nassasaurus Snail (3)
Hermit crab (3)

Refugium:

Xenia
Blue leg Hermit crabs (2)
Caulerpa
Chaetomorpha
Feather Dursters
10# Live Rubber

You never have to much filtration. After my experience with my 55g, I learn that if you think that you need 1 skimmer, get 2. if you want 4 fish, get 2.
