Lighting a 125 gal fuge.

I'm going to set up a 125 for a fuge and was looking for ideas on lights for it I have some in mind but figured more ideas could be udeful. I'm thinking of using led flood lights. Or some old metal halide lights I have. I'd like to keep a few different types of algae in it and a few mangroves since I've always thought they wer kinda cool. Your ideas are appreciated.

i would go cheap and use floodlight.
cree makes led lightbulbs that will grow algae.
i use one on my cacti in winter months.

Are wall wart and a couple cheap fans do wonders blowing on a fixture.

D2mini grew balls of Chaeto like you see in the video below using a 150W Floralux HPS fixture. I bought one for my new build on Ebay for around $65. I think mpcart got one for his fuge in January as well.

Right on I started to pull my ballast out of storage I'll see if they work and will fire a hps bulb.

I previously used a 150hps.. But switched to a plant led fixture and it's been growing even faster(much, much faster) than with the sodium.. It's also much more dense and green..

For cheato growth, it's the best investment I made..

Would mangroves benifits from them as well. I've always thought they wer cool just never had a place to grow them.
