Lighting a 40 Breeder

I just picked up a 40 breeder and am starting to purchase the remaining equipment that I'll need. This will be a mixed reef tank and when it comes to lighting I want to go LED. I am currently looking at either a pair of Kessil A160WE or one Radion XR30 Gen 4. I would really appreciate any input on these two. Also would the single Radion be sufficient for the tank? I am also open to other options that I may have overlooked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Or do 2 radions like I'm doing! Jk only reason I'm doing it is cause I have 3 from an old 120 build

I'd skip the expensive led fixtures and buy a less expensive light and get a tank that's bigger. Unless you don't have the room. Just my 2 cents...

x2 160s will look very dim but will work and grow things (some more than others). I had 2 160s and a 360 and it still looked a bit dim, but it grew SPS. x2 160s should grow everything well except Acros.

I ended up going with MH+t5.

I have a kessil 360 over my tank and it's plenty. True it dims a bit on the sides but use it for your advantage.

Thanks for all the input. I am pretty set on only led lighting at this point so I won't be supplementing with other light sources. Wondering if anyone is running a single radion over a 40 breeder or something wth similar dimensions?

You could do one. But you'd have to hang it quite high an wouldn't be able to fill the whole tank with corals. Like others have mentioned, just do two Radion XR15's.

Or even purchase two Hydra 26HD's. I ran two over my 56 Gallon Tank which is 36x18x19. Just barely bigger dimensions than the 40 Breeder. It was SPS dominant!

Great, thanks. I'm going to start looking into the Hydra 26HD
