lighting for carpet nem?

Stichodactyla haddoni is what I am planing on hopefully getting.

All of mine are under MH;

33 cube -- single 250, Phoenix
58 -- 2*250 Radiums + 2*96 PC
75 -- 2*250 XM 20,000K DE + 4*54 T5.

About 10 years ago I had one of mine (( still have it )) under 6*65 PC (( all 50/50 bulbs )), and it did okay, but really improved when I switched to MH.

Haddonis are sand dwelling anemones, would suggest at least a 2" sandbed -- they will fully retract into the sandbed when threatened. Tend to like lower flow areas. All of mine are right at the sandbed/rock interface.
