Lighting for clams

I am setting up a new tank and am leaning towards making it an LPS/Softie w/ a few Zoo's. I havnt decided on lighting but it will most likely be VHO.

The tank is 48 long 24 wide and 17 High (sand bed 3" .... maybe even 4")

What types of clams could be kept comfortably under a VHO setup?

Thanks, can I still place them on the sand or would they have to be secured up higher on the live rock?

with 4 or more bulbs and at least half of the daylight type they could be down low
