didz04 Thank you I have really enjoyed the process and watching them grow and sharing my experience with these corals. patience is really the key with saltwater tanks I have rushed things and it doesnt help anything.

Beatiful corals. I saw a frogspawn at a LFS a few weeks ago & am dying for one. Can anyone chime in if a 24W 50/50 will be enough light? It will be in a 12g nano. I have mushroom & polyp frags but would be able to move things around to make sure it has enough room by itself.

I have mine under 4 96 w each pc. but if it is only in a 12 gallon nano and you place it towards the top it should work.........but i am new to this as well. So if someone with more experience can chime in and help would be great.

Everything is looking great bro. That torch has really taken off. I see the hammer is finally starting to take on some color too. Just be patient with it. Chances are it will turn brown first and look pretty blah, but give it time and it should color up nicely. Nice feather duster as well, big boy!

24w 50/50 is on the low side IMO. I'd look into the Marineland Reef capable LED fixture. The 18 inch fixture is just over 100 bucks and would be perfect for a 12g.

Thanks Rush yeah I am very pleased with the torch i placed in that spot and for some reason it just went in to grow mode which is great. Yeah the hammer is starting to color up I am going to let it go on its own pace everything seems to be going great the big frogspawn i bought had two heads and now it is about to have five I just have a feeling if they keep growing like this I am going to need a bigger tank............just got to get the gf on board with that idea since it would be on the second floor.

I think Rush is right and a stronger light would be much better for them.

I just checked the 18" fixture & the tank dimensions & it looks like it would be too big to fit :( Thanks for confirming the lighting requirements. Going to LFS this weekend & don't want to buy something that won't survive in my tank.

Too big? I have the 18" fixture on my standard 10g and it fits just fine. What are the dimensions of your 12g nano?

Fish Biscuit curious if you ever figured out the light?
Here are some more updateswent and I now have som duncans in my tank as well very interesting coral.

All rest of corals are doing great......torch has gotten to be about 5 x 5 in size and taken over the bottom right corner of the tank.

take a look always enjoy talking about these and watching them grow.

Trying to figure out what to get next need something that does not mind flow.......Suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Think I will also need to get a bigger tank.........The torch is now getting about 2 inches away from the frogspawns above it and dont want chemical warfare going on......Also on a side note my clowns have now start twitching with each other not sure what that means but they have been hovering around the torch not in it but very close.......will have to wait and see what is going on.

Probably want to host it. Lucky for you they didn't choose a more delicate coral to host. Mine are hosting my candy cane frag and they definitely can be pretty rough. I've seen it closed up pretty tight on a few occasions which I don't like.

I personally would hold off on more corals... I know that's tough to do but if you are already running out of real estate then adding new corals might not be the best idea... at least until you do actually get a larger tank or do some rearranging.

Otherwise I would consider a large open brain... Seen some awesome looking ones out there. I have no idea if they would be ok with the high flow though....

Everything is coming along nicely bro. Keep it up.

Thanks rush I am holding off on more coral trying to figure out what the torch is going to do for some reason it is exploding and growing like wild fire.............I am right now looking at a larger tank so hopefully it will all work itself out. Looking at a 90 gallon wave front aquarium.........Just trying to figure out what kinda lighting I would like to go with it. Right now running PC thinking of T5 but not sure have a few fixtures that have the MH build in and mixed so thinking I might go that route......To many decisions....lol Love this hobby.

Well looks like a larger tank is what I am going to go get today...........going to go with the 90 gallon wave front. Sure the coral and fish will be happy with doubling the size of their home.

Well good news got the new tank and working on setting it up need to do some DIY type things like a new stand and get a new light for the 4 foot tank will be a slow process but will get done and then move everything over to the new tank...........will let everyone know how it is going. Will try and post some more pictures tonight of the LPS.

Yeah I am hoping so I will post the picture of the tank up as well. I am excited but taking it slow like I said I am building my own stand which will be a fun project. I will try and post pics tonight.
