Lighting my new 250 gal

Is 4.28 W per Gal enought for an SPS dominated tank? The tanks dimensions are 70Lx28Wx30H. I am debating on whether to go with (3) 250W MH with Lumenarc reflectors and (2) 160W actinic VHO or go all out with (3) 400 W MH.

Thoughts?

If it was me I'd use 3 400 mh with the LAIII. I used 4 400's and 4 160 VHO on my 72Lx24x31 and never had any problems growing sps. I didn't have the LAIII just spider light reflectors. I would think you'll need the 400's on a 30T tank. But others may chime in that are using 250's on that tall of tank. Good Luck on your decision.

I now use the LAIII's on my new 550.
