Lighting question

I am getting an established tank Friday, standard 75 gallon. I already have a halide/t5 combo (400 watt halides)

A friend is getting out, and he would sell me his maxspext 300 watt (43 inch) led for 450 (purchased new in June for 900).

Money is def tight, but would the maxspext make sense to get if I plan on going with sps? Or stick with what I have?

I would stick with the halide/T5

I would stick with t5/mh combo also. I had kessil and a razor over my SP's and I just couldn't get them to work for me how I wanted. I know it was me because I have seen nice SP's with both lights over them, but man I couldn't get them tuned for nothing
