I just recieved my odyssea 24" T5 HO advance fixture today,, and everything works perfectly,, the fan is so quite u can't even hear it spinning, the reflector is awesome, and the plastics that it made out of seems decenable(spelling)... One bad thing is that the legs are simple to install but it's hard to slide it in... no broken bulbs or anything,,, thank godanyway I have a 25 gallons rectangle aquarium,, and will this light fixture be sufficient at 20" depth ? cause the tank is 24 L X 12 W X 20 H.... and one more question how do u unscrew a t5 bulbs? because the t5 fixture is so much more different than the normal NO fixture so I have no idea how to unscrew the bulbs . Thanks in advance

As for it being sufficient for your tank, two questions; 1) does it have individual reflectors 2) What do you plan on keeping in the tank.

As for removing the bulbs, they should be removed like normal florescent bulbs, just twist the whole bulb until the pins line up with the open part of the end caps.

If you see a slot like normal florescent bulbs. Turn the bulb 90deg and take it out.

Bulbs may have a screw on cap:
If to do not see a slot like normal florescent bulbs
Unscrew the cap on each end of the bulb and slide the toward the center about one inch.
You should now be able to twist the bulb 90 deg and take it out

yes they ea have an individual reflector,, and I;m planning to keep polyps, mushrooms, xenia,,, some other easy soft corals,,,

imo most if not all t5 units with individual reflectors are adequate for reef aquaria which is 20" deep, but you will need to work out what colours are best for your needs, and depending on your livestock you may need more tubes. i think your ok
