Lighting upgrade

I was not happy with the spread that my single KessilAP700 was giving me. Got the old T5s out of the closet and although only 4 of the six bulbs worked, I sure did light the look. So.... first set of 4 boxes showed up today. Stay tuned.

Put it up late last night, have not set any of the channels yet. Researching schedules and acclimating now. Rest of the lights come Tuesday.

What size tank is that and what other lighting are you adding?

What size tank is that and what other lighting are you adding?

It is a 90, I went with the 48" fixture. Adding the Aquatic Life T5 hybrid.

Right now I am happy with the light. Like it 100% more than the Kessil. I don't know if it's just because of the size of the light or how the LEDs are spread out, But there are a lot less shadows in the tank. That is part of the reason why I'm adding the T5's as well. The T5s may be overkill, but I am going to play with the schedule to see what it can do.

With a T fives I know I will get good growth, With the LEDs I know there will be that shimmer and pop of the corals. No I have to just figure out how to make sure the two play well together.

That was a lot of tank length for a single AP700 to cover adequately. If you would have used a second AP700 or two 360WE's you would have probably been a lot more pleased with it. Glad you arrived at something that works a little better for you, nice looking tank!

I was also in-impressed with the app or lack of updates. Had a hard time spending $on the same thing. With that said, I really like the colors of this light. We will see how it preforms, but I like it thus
far.

Waiting for the bulbs to come in, all 4 have Blue+ at the moment. But very happy with the way it turned out. Have the reliability of T5s but pop of LED. Excuse the bad iPhone pics.
