So im considering a pair of lightning clowns... How just how aggressive are they? Will they harass other tank mates or just be extra territorial. :hmm3:

Against other clowns n their owwn they are very aggressive unless they be come a paired. Besides that i am able to keep a paired mocha clown, paired percula, and a yellow bar maroon a lightning clown that have paired up, all in my 110g mix reef. All clowns have been in there for almost 2 to 3 yrs now, except lightning which i added about 3 months ago. All are coexisting so far n not tearing each other up...

Lightening maroons? Maroon clowns are one of the most aggressive clown species out there.

That.

I've got a pair of GSM that the female pushes just about everyone around. She hates wrasses and buttterflies. Surprisingly she allows a juvi 2" emperor in their clay pot. But doesn't care for the 9" emperor.

Tank size will be a factor, but agree all maroons are usually very territorial, and most likely a pair will not tolerate other clowns even in fairly good sized tanks

Other fish beside clowns are usually ok as long as they do not invade their space, again, tank size a factor

My female Maroon draws blood when I put my hand in the tank, but she tolerates he male mate and a pair of mocha clowns in the tank without a problem.
