Its definitly not lightning season up here in Wisconsin but I was just looking over some old files. Im very intrigued by strong storms and look forward to this comong storm season. I dont have a lot of experience with lightning but have captured a few strikes.

Anyone else interested in long exposure lightning/storm shots?

A few setting details...

Camera; Nikon D7000
Lens; Tamron 18-270mm PZD
Exposure setting; manual
Shutter speed; Bulb (Kept shutter open via remote trigger until a good strike) All pics were between 30 and 60 seconds.
ISO; 250
Aperture; F10
Metering; Spot
White Ballance; Auto
Focus; Manual (infinity)
Platform; Car window clamp mount.

Wow that's really cool. Very impressive for someone with little experience with lightning. I have only tried a handful of times but was never successful. These are great good job!
