fyi, jay, i have scoured every farm store within 50 miles and i can't find that squirrel repellent. i'm gonna see if the local store can order it. i hate to order online as shipping is almost as much as the bottle of spray!

and now the damn grackles are back. ugh!

woodies!!

i have not put any seed out in weeks. i have birds but the squirrels devour everything within an hour. i hate it because i see so many birds, tons of cardinals, in the yard.

The cardinals should start singing their spring songs very soon... Maybe already are down your way Nina.

Nice woodies Jim. Im gonna miss the red bellies when I move back to Oregon. But the acorns woodies and lewis are very nice subjects too

This whole "Thru My Window" project is on hold now as Im moving right now. my new place in Oregon isnt in the country so I dont know if this will work out there. I am excited to get back to the western hummingbirds. I should be able to bring them in.

I just love the images of birds in this thread! We have multiple feeders. Various woodpeckers (3 species), a pair of Blue Jays, and a black squirrel.

a mourning dove built her wimpy nest on the baker's rack right next to the house. i put chairs in front of it so they dogs couldn't reach it. not sure when they hatched but there are just 2 which i think is pretty typical of these birds. poor little guy in the back is upside down. LOL

saw my first hummingbird last sunday, a month earlier than usual. so far, there are 2 beautiful blue eggs in the bluebird nest box.
