Lightsluvr's 340G Upgrade

Still having to do some tweaking to get both cameras to display on the internet connection. The closed network images look like this:

Well, I am able to look at both cameras within my network - some folks are able to look at one or the other camera, but not both at the same time as it's supposed to work.

Anybody that wants to try, PM me and I'll provide a username and password.

Here are the links to the cameras:
Front of the tank: http://lightsluvraq.viewnetcam.com:50001/CgiStart?page=Single&Language=0

The fish room: http://lightsluvraq.viewnetcam.com:50000/CgiStart?page=Single&Language=0

This address is supposed to give you both cameras on a "multi page"
http://lightsluvraq.viewnetcam.com:50001/CgiStart?page=Multi&Language=0

When you first connect, you will receive a pop-up that asks you to install an Active-X module from Panasonic. This allows the user to tilt, pan and zoom the camera. Click "yes" or "accept" and then you should get the log-in screen. On the multi-page, you may get two log-in screens. (one for each camera).

I can still view either of the single links, but cannot view the last link as a multi, however, the multi page tab has appeared. It just shows the second pic as constantly loading.

I like the single cam views anyway, much bigger views.

Wow, is Charlie a beast. How much longer till he visits Jenks?

Charlie is definitely growing - his streamers look at least a half inch longer since we got him... (Charlie is the 12" Vlamingi Tang)

The Panasonic software is strange... I have a couple of folks who are able to see both tanks in the multi mode - most can't.

At least I can see both tanks (one at a time) online... that makes me happy because I'll be taking a couple business trips in the coming weeks...

Both cameras both worked great for me and I got to see a feeding! Multi camera view didn't work for me though...

Amazing how similar our tanks are... Thanks!

I saw your tank and you're right - there are a lot of stocking similarities! I was inspired by your camera to change the location of my DT webcam. Here's the new angle:

Build similarities too. Dual sumps, two closed loops, similar LR layout... Yeah, I move my camera frequently so my regular viewers don't get bored!

I love the new view - thanks for the inspiration! I'm going to start feeding over there.

I wish the camera was in 3D. That Copperband Butterfly would jump right off the screen! That's his corner....

Hey LL, I have a question about your water mixing station. I setup one a while back and noticed that we have an almost identical setup. My question is - did you do anything special to it before you started using it to mix water? For example running vinegar or anything else through it to clean it? I was just going to run some tap water through mine and then let it completely dry before I start using it to mix.

I hit inside both of them with high pressure sprayer and let them dry before using.

Tank on local TV

Our local NBC affiliate has a feature segment called "Is this a Great State or What?" which airs 2-3 times a week - Sometime ago they decided they wanted to think about warmer climates (because the global warming has been so cold in Oklahoma)!

I received a call from reporter Galen Culver and he recorded about an hour at the house last week. The segment, entitled "The quietest pet" aired in the OKC market yesterday and today. Here is a link to the "Is this a Great State or What" page on the KFOR website:

Click on the green milli... You can also click on some of the other "Great State" segments that Galen has produced...
