Like a Newby - Fish hasn't eaten

Well, I haven't added any fish to a tank in about 7 years. They've all been doing very well if they didn't die of old age or suicide.

I recently purchased a female Orange Anthias (Lyretail) and added her to my tank with three other fish that have been in the tank for years. They do not harass her. The tank has LPS, SPS, and soft corals that are doing well.

She hasn't eaten yet. She gets excited at feeding time, but doesn't recognize the food as food, it seems. I've tried three food types, and plan to go get another this morning. What am I missing? She's been in three days.

Try live brine schrimp and see what happens. I have also found pellets that contain garlic usually works... Lastly, I have found that new fish sometimes eat things in the tank that others have left out of their diet like copepods and amphipods. If she is swimming good and seems happy, you probably do not have anything to worry. Remember she has come a long way and may take a week or so to adjust.

Live brine shrimp, frozen mysis or frozen brine, soaked in concentrated garlic

Fish is eating. I had to go out of town for eight days, even before seeing her eat. I got some live shrimp and left it with the people taking care of the tank. The fish looks great and is eating normally.
