i used to go there every summer with my parents. we had a small bungalow inside the fenced in grounds. i loved it there. there is a huge ampitheater inside...and my father was a Barbershopper...he sang bass. Every summer they had a concert.

Yup, they are spiritualists ("One who believes, as the basis of his or her religion, in the continuity of life and in individual responsibility. Some, but not all, Spiritualists are Mediums and/or Healers. Spiritualists endeavor to find the truth in all things and to live their lives in accordance therewith."), and whether you agree with that or not...does not deter from the fact that this is truly a peaceful place.

Had a buddy tell me about it a couple of years ago after he went. Also work with a woman who has a 15 yr old daughter who "has the gift", very cool. Anyway she took her there to help her harness it by meeting with others who've been at it a while. She apparently can talk with those who've passed. The departed can sense these people and seek them out like a lightning rod. The girl gets really irritated when they wont lether sleep. As someone who lost a brother, it really freaks me out. I'd love to know certain things, but I don't think I could handle it.

Anyway Gary, its suppoesed to be quite the experience. According to my buddy who went, some readers are a little better than others.
 
Lilydale is a cool place but as others have mentioned some of the people there are far greater than others. Some are amazing and others are flat out frauds.

Its located off Rt 60 between Jamestown and Dunkirk if your wondering.
 
I don't buy this stuff..There many be a few freakishly "gifted" people out there..But most are scammers and ones that...well dropped one to many hits of acid back in the day ..My step Mother among them..
 
Sounds pretty cool. Gary always starts these threads and then ditches them. I think he sits there and just reads what we have to say...lol.:lmao:

then why have I never heard of any of them? doesn't it seem like a true psychic would immediately be the most famous person in the whole world? what are "psychics" scared of? fame and fortune, or being exposed?
 
Its more of a medium type setting than psychics.

EDIT Its like any other spirtual experience or religion, you either believe it or you don't. There is no arguement that can swing your beliefs one way or the other...
