Yes We'll have to watch the heat. Doug was thinking of buying two temperature display devices, just incase one is displaying a higher temp simply because it's on the particular side where all the pumps and other equipment that put out heat are."The waiting is the hardest part" Tom Petty![]()
I do love the shimmer of MH, but also love the less heat and lower electric bill that comes with T5's (( one tank is only T5's, another is MH+PC and the last is MH+T5 )).
Lol! And the Easter Bunny.Wow, Abril actually does have a tank now.. LOL
Since you now have a tank, sasquatch and Area 51 probably does exist too..
hehehe just messing with you, about time though. Your coming in as I'm leaving
I know lol. I memorized all corals as I was learning which ones I wanted to try keeping. Lol. ItAlright Abril,
I didn't know you never had a reef tank... (is that considered a double negative?) with all that LPS knowledge you always spew, I thought that you were an old salt.
With the help of Doug, I have no doubt this is going to be a nice tank. Keep the pictures and videos coming.
That timer that you have for the RO/DI unit: Does that take batteries or does it plug into the wall socket.
I have a similar sprinkler timer that runs on D batteries that is constantly giving me problems. I need to upgrade to something more reliable.
welcome aboard the reefs.....good luck nanos can be very tough to keep stabilized
Lol, one of the two are one of the stick on the side ones. So it's still way less than a controller would cost. Maybe if we decide to get a bigger tank down the road I can totally see us using one.Instead of the two temp gauges you can get a neptune or digital aquatics controller and not worry about it.![]()

Hi Lynn!Looking good! I love the aquascaping! I think it's absolutely perfect! I bet those lights look real nice in person. I have T-5 because of the electric bill and heat concerns. I can't wait to see some coral in it! What are your stocking plans? are there going to be any fish?
Awesome Job Abril! Very nice tank, I really like how you set this up! I wish I would have used BRS rock only, trust me........
there are also a couple of nice corals that grow slow enough for a nano like yours......an acan or 2, and an acro like garf, or red planet.....
see world wide corals .com for ideas......
Good luck! Yeah!
