can you guys hook me up with some links so I can learn about the basics of lighting..it seems kind of confusing. I need to get some for my new 75g but I hate to buy without getting educated

Thanks, I did go there first but 90% of what I found was for people who know what they were talking about...lol. I am still at the ABC'c stage

You are in the ABC's stage, and I'm told I'm in the Stone age when it comes to lighting.
I have ten tanks, ALL of them are lit with NO lighting. I've never had any lighting but NO in my 13 yrs of reefing and was told I can't keep all the things I keep under NO.
I am going to branch out soon though. I bought some T-5's to put over a tank when I can get around to rebuilding the hood for it.
