Liter Meter III replacement tubing

So the pharmed or norprene tubing is better?

I'd say they are pretty close to the same, I think the norprene might be rated for a little longer life, but you'll end up changing them out before that anyway. I change mine out now regularly at 6 months regardless now that I have 30 feet of it.

Norprene are a lot cheaper so I guess I'll get some of that. Do annual tube change. How often do you change yours?

I edited my post, I change mine out pretty regularly. I have so much on hand now and it's so fast to take apart the pump clean it up and slap in a new 7 inches of tube that I do it whenever I find time every 4-6 months or so.

Scuzy. Let me know if you want to split an order. I definitely don't need 30 ft.

The Tygon Pharmed located at link provided above is....

"Available with an Amazon Business account and healthcare license"

Whaaaaa?

Thanks for the links. I ordered the noroprene since the other requires a business license. I would be ok with ordering spectrapure stuff but I don't see it available anywhere anymore. I bought the unit used and there is no telling when the tubing was changed last.

are there a lot of peeps still using litermeter III ? are they good for doing automatic water changes? Just picked up a used one last week, what are you guys thoughts on these old school units?

I have always used Spectrapure for replacements since it lasts for a long time.
Buy directly.
A Litremeter is a great piece of equipment many people still use.

I use mine for ATO on a small tank. It's a good pump but I wouldn't use it for something like an auto water change, though, I'm sure some reefers do.

There are quite a few doing constant water changes with the Litremeter.
It moves water 150 times a day & with the addition of an extra pump module is quite effective.

can you explain how you have it setup for automatic water changes? I just found a used one and have no clue but have heard of it being able to do

anyone who uses their LMIII to do automatic water changes can you post how you have it setup of send pictures to me? please......

With 2 pumps you have one removing "dirty" water and one replacing "new saltwater"
Often times extra fail-safes may be added to ensure one head doesn't pump faster than the other,etc...
