ok, so i was trying to describe these on SWF, but no one knew what i was talking about, so ill try here. sorry, i dont have a picture.

i was at aquatic technology the other day, and i was checking out that little biocube they have with the occelaris clowns hosting those big fuzzy mushrooms. growing on the rock and up the back of that tank are some kind of little pinhead sized polyps. they look just like little flowers. kinda green or purpleish. anyways i thought they were adorable and would like to know what they are. i know theyre fairly common because ive seen plenty of pictures of them before but i cant remember what theyre called and can no longer find the pics.

any help, thanks! :)

nope... im trying to find a pic on google images but having absolutely no luck...probably because i dont know what theyre called...

try going to fosters and smiths sight and looking at the coral they are selling. maybe they have it and it will give a name. i have done that before. good luck

clove polyp or glove polyp is what she is describing. Some are small, some are pretty nice size.

I've seen colony hydroids in that small bio cube tank though :) but green or purplish doesn't match up, there more brown copper colored though

Like these?

that might be it! (cloves) but they were crazy tiny, like the diameter of a pinhead. they werent hydroids.

Hey itZme, did you buy any of those clove polyps?

They are really cool looking.

I have the small tiny baby blue clove polyps:

Is that what you seen?

agoutihead I wish I did buy some. They were in his big display tank. I think those are the creme of the crop corals that he picks when things come in and are not for sale.
